The mission of the SFDC is to inform and engage the public on the impact of design in our daily lives and in our community. We do this by partnering up with local businesses, education and non-profit organizations in the name of design. At the Sioux Falls Design Center we hang a series of exhibits in our DC Gallery, host an informal night of presentations called PechaKucha Night, put on workshops, as well as organizes design competitions, talks, tours, and is a place where designers and the public can hang-out, interact, innovate and create.
The Sioux Falls Design Center (SFDC) and Downtown Sioux Falls (DTSF) collaborated to host the inaugural Great Gingerbread Build. This sweet competition challenged individuals of all ages, business and organizations to create edible works of art.
